A Poem A Week #26

To A New Place

I floated up, up.
I rose like a spirit
Severing from a body.
I left like
The fluff of dandelion
Pushed by a breeze,
Like snow
Blown over the hill,
Away, away
To a new place
With tide and goodwill,
With new intentions,
With blissful thoughts.
I floated up, up,
And away, away.
I rang like a bell
Struck by a hammer,
And today
I floated up, away
To a new place.
