A Poem A Day #286

I Am a Woeful Being

I am a woeful being,
A Tormentor of Time.
Slowly, slowly I drip away
Like the summer rain
On a broken day.
Beat me here,
But I will only return
In numbers of sorrow.
Just wait for me,
I’ll be back tomorrow.
I came to conquer weight.
I came to conquer filth.
Here I am, I wilt.
I am a woeful being,
I am a sorry sight.
I am quite pathetic,
And apparently, hopelessly,
Poetic.
