A Poem A Day #204

When life is breathing
And avoiding sudden death,
I could be on the edge of it,
Almost out of breath.

While life is in paradise,
Sitting on the beach,
It feasts on its luxuries,
Luxuries I try to reach.

Life sits back and watches,
looking more pretty and thinner.
It doesn’t know yet
That someday I’ll be the winner.
