A Poem A Day #137

Summer Movie Nights

Turn the lights out
And put the kernels on the stove.
It’s time to go exploring
In our movie treasure trove.

Pick a favorite title
And cozy up on the couch.
Don’t worry about formality.
Go ahead and slouch.

Tonight all will be forgotten,
My present troubles will be put on hold.
On those pleasant summer movie nights,
My imagination is uncontrolled.
