A Poem A Day #107

The Piano tells a Tale

The piano tells a tale
Of war, when the planes went down
And the seas stormed
With fire and brimstone.
It tells the tale
Of a heartache.
If you listen closely,
You can hear the soft pulses
Of rushing blood,
Enticed by the excitement
Of love and desire.
The piano plays us a song
Of the first wars and first treaties.
It knows of times of peace
And times of discourse.
If you listen,
The piano tells your tale,
Down to every note,
Every high and low.
