A Poem A Day #50

Lamb in a Lion

You are a lamb in a lion.
A heart that can melt,
Yet inside the strength of a tower.
Hands that can take battle,
Yet also hold a rose.
Eyes that can be as red as fire,
Yet as cool as ice.
You are a lamb in a lion.
A tongue that can curse the darkness,
Yet bless the light.
Feet that can stomp upon dirt,
Yet walk upon grass.
Arms that can lift the stones,
Yet carry the fallen.
You are a lamb in a lion.
A mind that can dread for the future,
Yet savor past memories.
Ears that can hear the cries of pain,
Yet also the songs of joy.
Thoughts that can imagine the worse,
Yet fantasize.
You are a lamb in a lion.
