An Eternal Refuge
The perfect comfort is an eternal refuge.
Underneath are His everlasting arms.
You run to Him when troubles pursue you.
He hold His arms open
And you collapse in them.
He leans your head against His heart.
He whispers loving thoughts into your ear.
He keeps you close and rebukes your pursuers.
He will drive out your enemy before you,
Saying, “Destroy him!”
He heals the broken-hearted
And binds up their wounds.
He will not leave you like an orphan,
Lost and begging on the streets.
He will come to you.
He is surely with you always,
Even to the very end of the Age.
He is the Eternal Refuge.

This poem was inspired by and contains part of several biblical scriptures:
Deuteronomy 33:37- The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, ‘Destroy him!’
Psalm 147:3-He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Matthew 28:20-…and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
These scriptures are very beautiful and special to me, because they explain my God’s love and care for me. These are where the basis of my faith begins. I love Him because He loves me.
By the way, today’s my birthday! Even though i’m an official adult, I don’t really feel much like one. But i suppose in a few months 😛
